Don't let the 'for young readers' tag fool you, this is Pratchett at his very best. Although, the book is aimed at a younger audiencew there is enough here to keep the more mature readers happy. The plot has Maurice, an intelligent cat, and a band of self aware rats, running a Pied Piper like con with Keith, the dim witted musican who leads them all away. However, in the town of Bad Blintz, things aren't what they seem. As ever the humour and plot in Pratchett's story are top notch, proving that no one can touch Terry when it comes to comic fantasy. Maurice is an enjoyable read from start to finish. Buy it.
